Ages 7-10
There are 3 brownie groups in the Portslade District. Brownie groups take part in games, challenges and activities. Brownies come together in little groups known as sixes and work through a programme known as the Brownie Adventure. 5th Portslade Brownies
Hello! We would love your daughter to join our successful pack. We meet weekly in term time on Monday evenings in Portslade. We charge a modest £2.50 per meeting and all of our Brownies have lots of fun! This term we have enjoyed a Halloween Party where we played spooky games and dressed up in scary outfits. We also enjoyed a quiz night organised by unit helper Sarah with crisps and nibbles which was very successful. We all successfully gained our Environment Badge where we learnt a lot about recycling.
We recently attended an evening out at the Pottery Café organised by Assistant Guider Heidi and Young Leader Megan which the brownies and leaders really enjoyed. We have had several Christmas themed evenings including a Christmas craft evening with parents, a challenge evening and an end of term Christmas party.
1st Mile Oak Brownies
Hi! Our pack meets every Tuesday in Mile Oak. At the moment our pack is full however we have a waiting list which we regularly update. All of our brownies enjoy coming along. This term we finished work on our Adventure 100 badges and visited Hove fire station as part of our fire safety badge. We also held a divali theme evening incorporating craft and another evening made threading Xmas cards. All the Brownies that attended the Vision Event at Hove Town Hall had a great time. When asked which bits they liked best most of them said – all of it!
